IShowSpeed visits a tech store in China and casually buys 3 Huawei Mate XT tri-fold smartphones like he’s buying snacks
IShowSpeed has never been one to do things by halves, and his latest Huawei smartphone shopping trip in China is no exception.

The popular streamer stopped by a tech store and got his hands on one of the most unusual smartphones on the market.
But when he found out how much it cost, he did something most shoppers probably wouldn’t consider.
And instead of stepping away and thinking about it, he decided to buy three..
IShowSpeed couldn’t believe how much the Huawei phone cost
In a video shared online, Speed was shown the Huawei Mate XT, a smartphone that can fold twice to transform from a regular-sized phone into a much larger tablet-style screengadget .
The store employee demonstrated how the unusual folding mechanism works, leaving the streamer visibly impressed; it has twice the number of folds as the new iPhone Duo.

Naturally, his next question is how much the device costs in US dollars.
When he’s told it’s around $3,000, Speed immediately compares it to the price of a gaming PC.
That’s a pretty hefty price tag for a phone, even one with such a futuristic design.

He decided to buy three of them anyway
Rather than putting the expensive smartphone back on the shelf, Speed appears to make a rather spontaneous decision.
He tells the employee he wants three of them.

And he even has a specific color combination in mind, requesting two red devices and one black one.
The employee then brings out all three phones, with Speed proudly showing off his purchases to the camera.
The Huawei Mate XT is unlike most smartphones
The device in question is the Huawei Mate XT, a triple-folding smartphone that can open up into a much larger display.
Unlike traditional foldable phones, which typically have one hinge, the Mate XT features two hinges and three display sections.
This allows it to work as a regular smartphone, a larger dual-screen device, or a tablet-sized display when fully unfolded.
It’s certainly an unusual bit of technology, and with a reported price of around $3,000, it’s also a costly one.
Still, Speed seemed more than happy to walk away with three of them.
